2014年10月20日，远方检测校准中心光度校准项目正式通过美国NVLAP认可，成为国内首家具有美国NVLAP以及中国CNAS双重认可资质的光度校准实验室，也是目前国内唯一一家可以直接进行绝对光谱辐通量（Optical Radiation）校准的实验室。
为保证量值溯源的准确性，远方检测校准中心采用了美国NIST总光谱辐通量标准、光谱辐照度标准以及光强标准等，校准范围覆盖紫外、可见以及红外波段。配合此前通过的NVLAP照明检测（Energy Efficient Lighting Products）项目，远方检测校准中心已经建立起完整的照明检测和光度校准体系，今后可为照明检测认证机构和生产企业提供高精度比对测试以及光辐射校准服务。
